Lich King 25-man, Halion 10-man, Ironbound Proto-drake

The last two weeks have been pretty eventful for me, at least in terms of WoW. Sadly, I lack screen shots for a lot of this stuff. I’m still not in the habit of capturing all of my WoW moments for blogs posts and such.

First off, I killed The Lich King on 25-man for the first time (granted it wasn’t my current guild’s first time). I had killed the fight in 10-man before then, and I’ve also had heroic experience, so it wasn’t quite as epic feeling as it could have been. Though it’s still nice to have gotten it done. Now I can really look forward to downing him on heroic.

Being a recruit in my new guild, I didn’t get a chance to down Halion on 25-man last week, which isn’t a huge deal. I did manage to kill it in 10-man though. It’s a pretty fun fight overall, and I enjoyed the beam mechanic in the “downstairs” area of the fight. I definitely look forward to working on its heroic version, since that should bring on the real challenges.

Finally, just last night I ran a successful PUG to complete all of the Ironbound Proto-drake achievements in 25-man Ulduar. Obviously it was nice to get the drake, but I’m even more proud of running the group successfully (even if people got tired of my long winded boss explanations). We one shotted nearly all of the fights, including Firefighter, as well as two shotted One Light in the Darkness. The run took about five and half hours from start to finish, which is quite impressive for a PUG, even considering the current gear level available. My next plan for an achievement PUG is to complete The Immortal in 25-man Naxx, so I’m looking forward to that!
