At the request of quite a few people, I have begun work on expanding the addons section of my resto druid guide. Right now I’ve neatened it up a bit so it’s ready to receive all of the information I have to share. I’ve started on the Grid configuration section as well, which was the [...]
There are some nice changes coming to restoration druids in 4.1, most of which I’m pretty excited about. Posted by Blizzard via Battle.net. Efflorescence has been redesigned. It creates a healing zone at the feet of a Swiftmend target, but this healing zone now restores health equal to 4/8/12% of the amount healed by Swiftmend [...]
I added a reforging section to the restoration guide tonight, since quite a few people were requesting it. I finally found a nice tool that kept me from bombarding everyone with another wall of text, so hopefully it came out as simple as I was hoping. Feel free to leave a comment with any feedback [...]
I’ve begun working on the Addons section for my restoration guide. I don’t have a lot there yet, but it’s a start. I’ll build off of it slowly over time. I also updated the Talent Spec section with more relevant talent specs, along with some explanations of each. Finally, I’ve added in some nice big [...]
I’ve made some updates to my guide for 4.0.6. Some of the updates were because of the spell changes, others were cosmetic changes as I continue to work to make the guide as readable as possible. Below is a list of changes that were made: 02/09/11 Updated asterisk section below Stat Weights lists to reflect [...]
Update (01/31/11): Sadly, the updates are going to be slightly late. Work picked up again last week, and unfortunately I have to put that before guide updates at the moment! They are coming though, so hang tight. Just making a quick post to let everyone know I haven’t forgotten about the Addons section on my [...]
Sometimes when I’m with other WoW players that I know (friends or family), we’ll spend time coming up with ridiculous new mechanics, spells, or boss fights. Usually they’re so far fetched and “OP” that there’s no way they’d really work in game or ever be implemented.
However, I recently came up with something that I was rather happy with, and even a little proud of. Mostly since I think it goes with Blizzard’s philosophy of unique and fun mechanics that require some thought on the best time to use them. So after a little bit of refining, I decided to share it with everyone. I’ll admit that I’m a little bit nervous, because I know how critical the community is of things like this… so try to be nice!
I finally got the last big part of the overhaul posted under the restoration druid guide. The Spell Overview/Usage section was pretty much re-written from scratch, save for a spell or two I got lucky with. I expect it to be critiqued just like the first update was, so I’ll still be making changes and [...]
I’ve been receiving a lot of feedback from people about my guide, which is amazing. So this week/weekend I’m going to be overhauling the guide again, based on all of the feedback I’ve gotten and my own experiences with healing in Cataclysm.
So I finally finished my Restoration Druid guide for Cataclysm (or a fairly rough version of it). Since I wasn’t on the beta this time around I’ll continue to add to it and tweak things as I play more in Cataclysm. Though I felt that the information in it was sound enough for now to [...]
